I became a licensed Florida REALTOR in August 1998 just before retiring from the US Navy after over 23 years of Naval service. My family and I were very excited when we received orders to the USS Philippine Sea which is homeported in Mayport.
When we arrived in June of 1997 we knew immediately that Jacksonville was where we wanted to put down roots. We then decided to purchase our home and make it official. As we were leaving the closing table with keys in hand I felt very excited to finally have a home we could call our own. Our family was happy, the seller was happy, our REALTOR was happy, and everyone was smiling. It was a positive experience all around.
Since at that time I had yet to decide what I would do after retiring from the Navy I thought to myself, what a great way to earn a living. As a REALTOR I would be able to share in the joy and excitement of other people when they bought and sold their homes.
In 2004, six years after becoming a licensed real estate ” salesperson”, I completed the training requirements and passed the state exam required to become a licensed real estate “Broker”. Doing so enhanced my professional credibility and gave me the option of opening my own brokerage.
In 2011 I founded Native Sun Realty, Inc. and began doing business as Native Sun Realty. As an independent broker I have the flexibility needed to provide customized marketing plans and personalized customer service second to none.
My professional designations include: GRI ( Graduate Realtor Institute), e-Pro (Internet Marketing Professional), CDPE (Certified Distressed Property Expert), SFR (Short Sales and Foreclosure Resource Certification), AHWD (At Home With Diversity) and MRP (Military Relocation Professional)
